I’d like to win this vibrator because… well, I’d like to be in a sexual relationship again some day and I think it’d be fun to have on hand. As it were. I’d appreciate it if you could “thumbs up” my comment there to help me win!
“Gays and lesbians are not allowed to legally marry. Gays and lesbians are not allowed to openly serve in the military. Gays and lesbians are not protected from being fired for their sexual orientation across all 50 states. None of these rights and protections exist on a federal level. So, then, why are we so surprised when teens pick on gay kids? When a government says it is OK to discriminate against gay people, kids think it’s OK to hate them. All politics are personal, and nothing is more personal than being treated like a second-class citizen.”—
It’s so ridiculous! People would be up in arms if you replaced “Gays and Lesbians” in those statements with “black people” or “jewish people” or “blondes”. Really makes me angry at the quiet bigots out there who still have no problems with segregating humans from each other and their unalienable rights.
I hate bullying; I hate bullies. I was just a fat Asian nerd as a kid, not the worst target, and I suffered through emotional, psychological, and physical abuses while other kids and perhaps adults just watched and tried to ignore. I can’t imagine how much worse it must be for someone who comes across as even more different and unique than I was. There are atrocities of all shapes and sizes to fight against in this world, but if we don’t stand up for children today, who will be left to fight the other fights tomorrow?
The video meme right now is that #itgetsbetter - I hope that it does. I vote against laws and lawmakers that impose intolerance via government, which I think is related to societal acceptance of bullying. I donate what little I can to Pacer’s teensagainstbullying.com in hopes that I help. And I share stuff like this.
